Be still, and know that I am God...
Psalm 46:10
In today’s world, it’s easy to think that we can only encounter God during big, emotional moments—like concerts, youth camps, or powerful praise and worship services. While those gatherings are beautiful and meaningful, they are not the only place where God meets us.
Sometimes, the most powerful encounter with God happens in the quiet.
It’s in the stillness of your room, when there’s no music playing, no crowd around you—just you and Him. It’s when you pause, breathe, and allow your heart to listen. God doesn’t need a stage to speak. His voice often comes as a gentle whisper, a “still small voice” that can only be heard when we choose to be still.
You don’t have to wait for the next big event to feel close to God. You can encounter Him right where you are—sitting on your bed, reading His Word, or simply talking to Him in prayer. In those quiet moments, God speaks deeply, personally, and intimately.
Don’t underestimate the power of being alone with Him. That’s where real relationship grows. That’s where your faith becomes personal—not just something you experience in a crowd, but something you carry every day.
God is always near.
The question is—are we willing to be still enough to hear Him?
