A Young Missionary’s Journey: Christian Palomar’s Calling to Serve God in Southeast Asia

A young missionary from the Philippines, Christian Palomar, has dedicated his life to spreading the message of God’s love and salvation. Currently serving in Thailand, Christian’s mission is more than just a job; it’s a calling that takes him across borders and into communities, all in the name of God and sharing the Gospel.

Christian's journey is one of faith, sacrifice, and unwavering trust in God's provision.

Recently, he and the Gateway Team embarked on a long journey to Myanmar, where they ministered to local communities, bringing both physical and spiritual blessings.

They didn’t just bring supplies — they personally packed, baked, and prepared gifts for the people they visited. From food to necessities, each item was carefully prepared with love to make sure the people they met felt cared for, valued, and blessed.

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”Philippians 2:4

Beyond the material support, Christian and the Gateway Team are deeply invested in spiritual growth. One of their key ministries is the Lewaphlo Ministry, where they teach students not only English but also impart wisdom on the spiritual aspect of life. By nurturing both the mind and the spirit, they help equip these young learners to thrive in all aspects of their lives.

However, their mission hasn’t come without its challenges. Finances are always a concern for Christian and his team, as they strive to meet basic needs such as food, transportation, and ministry materials. But time and time again, God has provided for them in ways they never expected. Whether it's through donations, partnerships, or unexpected opportunities, God has proven faithful to supply what is needed.

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:19

In addition to their work in schools and villages, Christian and the team have collaborated with fellow Filipinos who conducted Basic Life Support (BLS) training. This training is vital for the locals, as it equips them with the knowledge and techniques for first aid and rescue.

The training not only saves lives but also serves as an opportunity for evangelism, as the instructors shared strategies on how to effectively spread the Gospel while serving others.

Another highlight of Christian's ministry in Thailand was the Mophataw School Event.

Around 150-200 students participated in the event, where they were given a platform to showcase their God-given talents. This event was not only an opportunity for the children to shine but also a time of fellowship with like-minded individuals who share the same heart for evangelism. Christian and the Gateway Team were able to connect with others who are willing to step out of their comfort zones and work together for the expansion of God’s Kingdom.

The Power of Prayer

As Christian continues to serve, there are several areas in which we can all lift him and his team in prayer:

Pray for Unity, Strength, and Provision: The Gateway Team needs God’s strength as they continue their work in various communities. The spiritual, emotional, and physical challenges they face can be overwhelming, but we trust that God will provide for them in every way.

Pray for the People They Minister To: We believe that God will move in the hearts of everyone who listens to the message of the Gospel. Pray that lives will be changed, souls will be saved, and that transformation will occur not only in the people but also in their communities.

Pray for Protection and Guidance: Christian and his team are ministering in a region that is currently experiencing war and chaos. Pray for their safety, protection, and that God’s hand will cover them wherever they go.

Pray for Christian’s Strength and Relationship with God: As Christian pours out his heart and energy to minister to others, we ask for prayers that God would renew his strength every day. May his relationship with God grow deeper, and may he be protected from the attacks of the enemy. Pray that God would provide for his every need while he serves faithfully in Thailand.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”Isaiah 40:31

Christian Palomar’s life is a testament to the power of obedience to God's calling. Through his work, the love of Christ is being shared with those who may never have heard it otherwise. As he continues to serve in Thailand and beyond, we stand with him in prayer, knowing that God is at work in mighty ways.

Let us continue to lift up Christian and the Gateway Team, trusting that God will not only provide for their needs but also use them as instruments of change in the lives of many people. May their efforts bear much fruit for God’s Kingdom, and may the work they do continue to glorify Him.

As Christian’s journey unfolds, may we remember to pray for the impact of his work, the protection of the team, and the transformation of lives in every village, school, and church they visit.

May God’s Kingdom expand through their efforts, and may Christian continue to be a vessel for His love and truth.
