In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.
Psalm 138:3
At 21 years old, I’ve already experienced seasons of heaviness—bearing responsibilities, facing burdens, and walking through trials that felt too much for someone my age. Life didn’t go easy on me. I’ve had moments when I reached my breaking point, when I felt too tired to move forward and too weak to try again. I cried to God in desperation, unsure of what to do, pleading for His help.
There was one specific moment when I couldn’t take it anymore. I prayed and said, “Lord, once I open the Bible, please speak to me.” And He did. I was led to Psalm 138:3, and it felt like a warm embrace from heaven. “You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.” That wasn’t just a verse—it was a direct answer from a loving Father who knew exactly what I needed.
That moment changed everything. I realized I was never alone in my battles. God was always with me, strengthening me in ways I couldn’t see but deeply felt. He provided grace for every step, opened doors I didn’t expect, and reminded me again and again that He is faithful.
I often wonder—what if I hadn’t opened my Bible that day? What if I hadn’t called on His Name? I might have missed His answer. That’s why it’s so important to stay connected to God through prayer and His Word. He speaks when we seek Him, and He shows up in ways that remind us we are never walking alone.
If it wasn’t because of God, I wouldn’t be here today—still standing, still moving forward, still believing. Everything I have and everything I am is by His grace alone. I’m not self-made; I am God-made—shaped, strengthened, and sustained by His love.
Amen! '“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,”
Psalms 124:1
