Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:7
There are moments in life when we face hard situations and immediately assume we're under attack or being tested by God. While it's true that trials are part of the Christian journey, not every hardship is a test from God—some are simply the fruit of our own choices.
God allows trials to strengthen us, to build endurance, and to draw us closer to Him. But there are times when what we’re facing isn’t a test—it’s a result. It’s the product of decisions we made without seeking God's guidance or obeying His Word. If we confuse consequences with divine testing, we may miss the opportunity to learn from our mistakes and grow in wisdom.
Still, the beauty of God's grace is that even when we suffer the consequences of our actions, He doesn’t abandon us. He uses those moments to teach us, correct us, and lead us back into His will.
So today, take a moment to reflect:Are you enduring a trial that God is using to grow your faith?Or are you reaping something you’ve sown?
Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and conviction. And remember—whether it's a trial or a consequence, God's mercy is available. He redeems, restores, and renews. But He also calls us to walk in obedience and wisdom, sowing seeds that produce peace, not pain.
