Equipping the Saints International Ministries (ETSIM), under the leadership of Pastor Jim and guided by the unwavering commitment of Pastora Dolly O'Connor, extends its heartfelt mission far beyond providing material sustenance to those in need. Pastora Dolly, who remained in the Philippines for this ministry and other endeavors that involve helping the poor and evangelizing them, plays a pivotal role in our efforts.
With a fervent sense of devotion, Pastora Dolly embraces the divine calling to address the physical and spiritual hunger of marginalized individuals. Currently, our focus lies on the residents of various relocation sites in Bacolod City, Negros Island, Philippines, specifically Abada Escay and Vista Alegre. Recognizing the urgency of nourishing their bodies amidst dire circumstances, Pastora Dolly has already overseen the distribution of rice twice within these relocation sites.
However, she steadfastly believes that true transformation occurs when both physical and spiritual needs are met. Consequently, Bible studies are conducted within these communities, as Pastora Dolly strives to prevent the situation described by Jesus when he said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled." Her goal is to ensure that individuals strive for sustenance that leads to eternal life, recognizing that only Christ can provide such nourishment.
Pastors Jim and Dolly, are committed to ensuring that no poor person in Bacolod City goes hungry. This promise extends beyond temporal provisions, as they both seek divine guidance to sustain their endeavors on an ongoing basis. With each passing month, Pastora Dolly diligently works to secure the necessary resources, should God graciously provide, in order to fulfill this sacred duty.
We offer heartfelt gratitude to the Lord for the lives of our faithful servants, including Pastora Dolly O'Connor, who co-founded ETSIM, along with Pastor Godofredo Taasan Jr. and his wife, Sister Lolyvel Taasan, as well as Teacher Dinah Fernandez and her husband, Brother Henry Fernandez. Additionally, we express our sincere appreciation to all the staff and church workers who generously lend a helping hand, as their unwavering support is invaluable to our ministry.
As we reflect upon our mission to provide nourishment to the impoverished and hungry, we find solace and inspiration in the profound words of Matthew 25:35: "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." These words capture the essence of Pastora Dolly's commitment as she strives to follow in the compassionate footsteps of Christ, extending both physical and spiritual sustenance to those in desperate need.
With unwavering determination, Pastora Dolly invites you to join her in this noble mission. Together, let us embody the love and generosity that define the Christian faith, ensuring that no individual in our community is left hungry or spiritually deprived.
May the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, be exalted. To Him be all glory and honor, both now and forever.
