God of Hope

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

This is such a lovely prayer that we should pray for ourselves as well as an intercessory prayer for other Christians. Paul is not merely pleading with God to instantly fill them with joy, peace, and hope in this passage. Paul asks that the God of hope fill these believers "in believing" or as they trust in Him. He is asking that their faith will bring joy and peace to their hearts as these believers trust in God.

BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

Paul asked God for the extraordinary hope that can only come from the Holy Spirit, not just the typical human hopefulness.

Our God is the God of hope. The source of peace and joy. Life may bring troubles, but we serve a powerful, living God. Trust that He's got your back!

Our hope is not just in the Lord; our hope is the Lord Himself. We pray and declare this verse unto your life as you continue to believe and serve the Lord.
