Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10
There are seasons in life when everything feels like it's spinning out of control. Sleepless nights, endless responsibilities, overwhelming emotions—these moments can leave us exhausted, mentally and spiritually. But even in the midst of all that noise, a quiet truth remains: I still got joy.
It’s not the kind of joy that depends on everything going right. It’s not the shallow cheer that fades when trials come. It’s deep, unshakable joy that comes from knowing I have God with me.
He is my firm foundation. When life tries to shake me, I stand—not because I’m strong on my own—but because God is holding me up. Even when I feel weak and worn out, I know He has never given up on me, never walked away, never left my side.
In the chaos, He is my peace. In my tears, He is my comfort. When I can’t see what’s ahead, He reminds me that He is already there. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” I hold on to that promise—this season will pass, and He will use even the hard parts for my good and His glory.
So I choose joy—not because everything is perfect, but because I trust the One who is. I choose joy because I know who walks with me through the chaos. And that makes all the difference.
