The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10
There was a time when I often heard others say, “Being a Christian is boring.” They believed that choosing Jesus meant giving up fun, freedom, or the chance to enjoy life. I used to wonder about that too. But as I continue to walk closely with God, I’ve come to realize one simple truth:
It has never been better.
My life with Christ is full—not in the way the world defines “full,” but in a way that brings peace, joy, and deep purpose. I’ve traveled to beautiful places, tasted food that brings delight, basked in the sun during beach breaks, and laughed in the company of new and familiar faces. I’ve had the precious opportunity to serve children through my outreach ministry. I’ve found time to bond with my family, worship with them, and watch how faith makes our love even stronger.
And though not every plan of mine went the way I imagined, the way God orchestrated things always turned out better. His plans brought me to moments I didn’t even know I needed. I’m not just surviving life—I’m living it, with joy and purpose, because I trust the One who leads me.
Being a Christian is not about missing out—it’s about gaining everything that truly matters. I have faith. I have peace. I have purpose. And I’m building my life on a solid foundation—Jesus.
So today, I celebrate the freedom I have in Christ.
Freedom to love.
Freedom to enjoy.
Freedom to live.
And freedom to walk in His will, knowing that every step is covered in grace.
