NOT US, BUT GOD

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.

Philippians 2:13

God has a plan and a purpose for your life. You are part of God's plan. He has equipped you with all the necessary tools and resources to fulfill the unique role He has assigned to you. But it is up to us if we'll listen to His Spirit, follow where He leads, or ignore Him. We get to decide if we'll submit to His teachings or not.

The command to "work out your salvation" in verse 12 underscores the importance of putting our faith into action. It calls us to translate our beliefs into actions and attitudes that reflect God's love and grace. By obeying His commands and striving to please Him, we actively participate in His redemptive work in the world.

Through our relationship with God, we are no longer slaves to sin or to this world. He empowers us with new dreams and desires, thoughts and power, and a heart of compassion. This transformation enables us to embrace a life guided by God's will and purpose.

When you feel a sudden urge to bless, encourage, or serve others, it may very well be the Spirit of God prompting you to act in alignment with His will. Embracing these impulses with openness and obedience can lead to fulfilling experiences and opportunities to spread God's message of love and compassion.

Are you willing to do what pleases Him?

Philippians 2:12

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
