You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Isaiah 26:3
In Isaiah 26, the prophet sings of trust in God's provision, foretelling Israel's restoration to righteousness and peace after the judgment of their sin.
This is still true today. When a sinner puts their faith in Christ, they are covered in His righteousness, finding peace with God. Walking in spirit and truth, the saved person maintains fellowship with the Father and receives God's perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Righteousness and peace kiss each other (Psalms 85:10), and so the peace for which we all crave only comes as a result of righteousness.
Others can be kept in peace, but it is not a perfect peace; it is the peace of the wicked, the peace of spiritual sleep, and ultimate destruction. There is a perfect peace that the LORD will keep us in when we keep our minds stayed upon the LORD Himself.
Let us know how we can pray for you today. We would love to hear from you. Let us surrender everything to the Lord, including our sins, and put our trust in Him.
Shalom!
Isaiah 85:10
Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed.
