Rejoice Always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
REJOICE ALWAYS
I think that it is easy for us to rejoice when we have a good job and can buy whatever we want without looking at the price tags, be accepted to a dream school, or be surprised with a new car.
But when the situation says otherwise, the command to "rejoice always" is often forgotten.
As Christians, we ought to be joyful at all times. Yes, following Christ does not mean being exempted from trials, problems, and difficulties. Our circumstances may not result in us being "happy," but happiness is not the same thing as joy. Joy, in the Bible, involves a trusting hope in Christ.
PRAY CONTINUALLY
Getting to know a person requires communication, and communication builds strong relationships. The same holds true for our connection to God. Every day we should be in a condition of constant prayer, communicating with God and enjoying our fellowship with Him.
GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES
When we already have everything we want, we forget about the one who gave it to us; we won't even remember how to be thankful, and worst of all, we boast about our own success.
But in times of trials, disappointments, and problems, we will then know how to call God for help, to give us the way out of trouble.
May we not forget that God is behind all our success and is the giver of victory. May we always see that it was and is always Him who provided everything we have. In every situation, may it be good or bad, remember to always give thanks to the Lord.
THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU
God's will for you is to rejoice ALWAYS, pray CONTINUALLY, and give thanks in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.
