Sharing Jesus One Village at a Time: A Mission to Reach Soul

Updated: Jun 17

God is doing something truly powerful in Malawi, Africa. Bishop Patrick Jackson, a faithful servant of the Lord, is leading a mission to tell people about Jesus. He is not doing this alone—he is with a team of passionate believers who love to share the Word of God.

Together, they are visiting different places like Gonda Village, Nsanje District, Chimpambana, Dagalasi Village, and Ngabu. These are areas where many people have not heard much about Jesus. Some of the places are far and hard to reach, but Bishop Patrick and his team are not afraid. They carry their Bibles and Gospel tracts, and with joyful hearts, they teach people about God's love, salvation, and hope through Jesus Christ.

And here is the beautiful news: 2,500 people have already accepted Jesus into their lives! That means 2,500 souls have come to know the truth, the love, and the peace that comes from God. These people are now walking a new journey of faith. Their hearts are filled with joy because someone cared enough to bring them the message of salvation. Every soul that comes to Jesus is a miracle. It is the power of God working through His people. This mission is a reminder that when we obey God's call to “go and make disciples of all nations,” He will use us for His glory. Bishop Patrick and his team are good examples of what it means to be a light in the darkness.

This mission has not been easy. There are many challenges, but one thing keeps them going: prayer. They believe that prayer works. They pray before going out, while sharing the Gospel, and even after. And God answers their prayers. They are also asking us to pray with them and for them. They need our support through prayer as they continue reaching more villages. They also need more workers and volunteers to help share the Gospel. As Jesus said in Matthew 9:37: “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

Let us not forget what the Bible says in Romans 10:14:

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

This is why what Bishop Patrick is doing is so important. Through prayer, we can help, even from far away.

Let us pray for Bishop Patrick and his team. Ask God to keep them safe and give them strength, boldness, and wisdom. Pray for more workers. Ask God to send more people to join their mission and share in the joy of leading others to Christ. Pray for missions around the world, including Malawi. No matter where we are, we can take part in God's work. Let’s continue to lift up this mission in Malawi and believe for even more lives to be touched by the power of Jesus.

Our God is alive, and His Word is changing the world—one village, one soul at a time.
