All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18
Broken relationships hurt. Whether it’s a friendship, a family bond, or even a misunderstanding with a fellow believer — when hearts are divided, it creates a weight we carry every day. But God, in His deep love, doesn’t just want to heal our relationship with Him — He wants to heal our relationships with one another, too.
The heart of the Gospel is reconciliation. Through Jesus, God reached down to restore what was broken. We were once distant and stubborn in our sins, yet He didn’t wait for us to fix ourselves — He made the first move. Now, He invites us to do the same.
Reconciliation doesn’t always mean things will go back to how they were. Sometimes trust takes time to rebuild. But forgiveness, peace, and a willingness to restore harmony — that’s what God calls us to pursue. It’s not about who’s right or wrong, but about reflecting the love and mercy we ourselves received.
If God can forgive us fully, completely, and unconditionally — shouldn’t we at least try to extend that same grace?
Maybe today is the day to make the first step — a message, a conversation, a prayer. It’s not always easy. But healing never is. And yet, that’s where the beauty of reconciliation begins — when love wins over pride, and peace replaces pain.
