They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Revelation 12:11
This Sunday was unlike the usual. Instead of the typical flow of worship, preaching, and closing, we lingered in a sacred space of telling our stories—testimonies poured from the hearts of God’s people. Each voice carried a thread of hope, healing, breakthrough, and answered prayers. It was more than just sharing experiences; it was a collective declaration that God is alive, powerful, and moving in our midst.
There is something powerful about hearing others testify. When someone shares how God healed, provided, or rescued, it stirs up faith in the hearts of the listeners. Testimonies remind us that we are not alone, and that the God who moved for them can move for us, too.
Why Testimonies Matter
They Glorify God.
Every testimony shines a spotlight on God’s goodness. It says, “Look at what the Lord has done!” It shifts our focus from our problems to His power.
They Strengthen Our Faith.
Hearing real-life stories of God’s faithfulness builds courage. It gives us something to hold onto when we’re in our own valley seasons.
They Overcome the Enemy.
Our testimonies are spiritual weapons. When we speak of God’s victories in our lives, we silence the lies of the enemy and proclaim that Jesus reigns.
What has God done for you recently that’s worth sharing?
How did hearing others' testimonies today impact your heart?
Is there something you’ve been praying for that someone else's testimony gave you hope about?
You don’t need a microphone or a stage to share what God has done.
Your story, no matter how simple or small it may seem, has power. It can change someone’s perspective, lift their spirit, or even lead them to Jesus.
So don’t hide your testimony—share it. It could be the very encouragement someone needs to hear.
