Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21
There was a time I felt completely left out. Something went wrong with my school requirements, and while others moved forward, I had to pause my journey. It felt unfair. Painful. Lonely. But little did I know, that season of seeming delay was God’s divine redirection.
God was calling me—not to give up, but to choose Him first. And that meant letting go of everything familiar: my parents, my home, my comforts, and the life I thought I was supposed to live. I had to say yes to Bible school when nothing made sense, when everyone else seemed to be ahead, and I felt like I was falling behind.
That was the biggest sacrifice I had ever made. But looking back, it was also the beginning of the biggest breakthrough I’ve ever received.
It was in that quiet, surrendered season that I came to know God more deeply. My mindset shifted. My spirit matured. I became stronger, more rooted, and more aware of who I am—not in the eyes of the world, but in the eyes of the One who created me.
What the enemy meant for evil, God turned for good. He used what looked like a setback to set me apart. He used what felt like a detour to align me with His perfect plan.
If you ever feel like you’re being left behind, remember: sometimes, the path to your greatest breakthrough begins with a sacrifice. And when God is the One writing your story, every chapter—especially the painful ones—will always lead to a beautiful purpose.
