Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
Psalm 5:12
Have you ever experienced a moment when everything just seemed to fall into place? The right people showed up, doors opened, peace filled your heart even in uncertain times. That’s what walking in God’s favor feels like — not necessarily a life free of trouble, but a life filled with God’s presence, guidance, and blessing.
God’s favor is His grace poured out on those who walk in obedience and faith. It’s not about being perfect, but about being positioned — placing yourself under God’s authority, seeking His will, and trusting His timing.
There is favor and blessing in obedience.
When we choose to follow God’s ways, even when it’s hard or uncomfortable, we are aligning ourselves with His divine purpose. Throughout the Bible, we see that obedience attracts God’s favor.
Noah obeyed and was saved from the flood.
Abraham obeyed and became the father of nations.
Mary obeyed and gave birth to the Savior of the world.
Obedience often leads us straight into the blessing God has prepared.
When we walk closely with Him — through prayer, faith, and surrender — we begin to notice His hand moving in our lives. He opens doors no man can shut, gives us strength beyond our own, and places divine opportunities in our path.
Favor is not always flashy; sometimes it looks like quiet strength, unseen protection, or unexpected peace. But one thing is certain: God’s favor follows those who walk in obedience to Him.
