Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105
Have you ever had days when you feel confused, weary, or empty—but can’t even put your feelings into words? Life can be loud, emotions can be heavy, and our minds can be cluttered. On days like these, the best thing we can do isn’t to scroll through social media or distract ourselves with entertainment. Sometimes, you really just need to read the Bible.
God is always speaking—but we often miss His voice because we’re not opening His Word. Sometimes, we cry out, “Lord, where are You?” or “Why aren’t You answering me?” But we haven’t opened the very book where He already spoke. The Bible is His voice in written form. It’s His love letter, His instruction, His comfort, and His promise to us.
The Word of God isn’t just an old book—it’s alive. It speaks when you can’t hear clearly, comforts when no one else understands, and strengthens you when you feel weak. It reminds you of who God is and who you are in Him.
You may not feel anything dramatic while reading, but the Word is still working in your heart. It renews your mind. It aligns your heart to God’s will. And it gives peace that surpasses understanding.
Reading the Bible doesn’t always answer every question right away, but it connects you to the One who is the answer. It opens your heart to truth and repositions your soul to rest in God’s presence.
