"Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you."
Exodus 23:25
Lately, I’ve been reminded of how much I rely on God—not just for spiritual strength, but for my daily needs. There have been moments when I’ve worried about provision, about health, about whether I’m doing enough to care for my family. How often do I try to handle everything on my own? I stress over responsibilities, forgetting that God is my provider. But this verse challenges me: Am I truly worshiping Him in all areas of my life? Am I trusting Him to take care of my needs? But in the middle of those worries, God speaks through His Word: Worship Me, and I will take care of you.
Worship isn’t just about singing on Sundays; it’s about surrendering every part of my life—my family, my worries, my plans—into His hands.
This verse is a powerful promise. In Exodus 23, God had just led the Israelites out of slavery and was preparing them for the Promised Land. But they had to trust Him. He didn’t just want their obedience; He wanted their worship—their full surrender. In return, He promised to bless their food and water and protect them from sickness. It was a reminder that when they put God first, He would take care of the rest.
I have personally experienced the power of worship. There was a time when I had nothing financially. I desperately needed money by the next day, and I had no idea where it would come from. Instead of letting fear take over, I chose to worship. I sang songs to God, I prayed, and I poured my heart out to Him.
When morning came, something incredible happened. A person unexpectedly gave me money as a gift—and it was more than I had prayed for! In that moment, I saw God’s faithfulness in a way I will never forget. He provided not just what I needed, but more than I could have imagined.
Choose worship as your response in every season. When you have problems, worship. When prayers are answered, choose worship. Even in the fire, in the middle of doubts, we should lift our voices to God—because He has never failed us. He is never late.
Worship isn’t about what I feel; it’s about who He is.
Maybe today, you’re in a situation where you don’t see a way out. Maybe you feel like you have nothing left. I encourage you: worship anyway. Worship is an act of faith, a declaration that God is bigger than our circumstances. He sees your needs, and He will provide in ways you never expected.
Worship not just when things are good, but even in the fire, in the waiting, and in the unknown.
