Your Father's Good Pleasure

"Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luke 12:32

You are so valuable to God. So, you don't have to worry or be anxious about anything. "...it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." It is God's good pleasure to give you everything you need. It says "good pleasure" because there is "pleasure" that would bring destruction. It highlights the potential dangers of seeking gratification without considering the consequences. This type of pleasure is often short-lived, leading to negative outcomes or harmful impacts in the long run.

Possessions can be lost through theft or destruction. It is foolish to prioritize temporary objects or earthly things when God wants to give us an inheritance in His eternal kingdom (Luke 12:33–34). We should not place our hearts' desire on earthly things that will be destroyed, nor should we be anxious about getting what we need while we're here; instead, we must seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

God is our perfect Father. He wants us to thrive; He wants to provide for us; He wants to help us grow. Yes, we don't have to worry when God is our father. For it is His good pleasure to give us the kingdom.
