Return to God

So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger , and pf great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Joel 2:13

We all make mistakes, cause sin, and fall short of the glory of God, and when we do, we shouldn’t just stand in the same place and do nothing. We need to humble ourselves before God and truly repent of our sins.

In verse 12, it says that when we return to God with all our heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning. He relents over disaster. He doesn’t pour out the wrath that we deserve when we do what Joel 2:12-13 says.

Let us come to the altar of the Lord, where we can find forgiveness. Let us return to Him while we still have time. Ask God to renew you, change you and restore you. He is more than willing to redeem, transform, and save the lives of those who run to Him. God is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and kind, but let us not use this as an excuse to dwell in sin; rather, make this an encouragement to always come to Him and put Him first. Let us turn from sin and return to God.
