Praise be to the faithful God, the Almighty One who reigns over all generations! He broke the chains of sin and death, set us free from the depths of the dungeon, took away our shame, and made us more than conquerors! He has chosen us as His holy people, a special treasure on this earth. His love for us is boundless and unconditional, and not on the basis of our performance.
Oh, come and let us truly know who He is—the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. His love extends for thousands of generations, forgiving wickedness, rebellion, and sin. Can you comprehend the magnitude of that? His covenant and mercy are not limited to us but stretch out to our children, and their children, and their children, and their children's children!!
Daniel's prayer acknowledges this truth: "O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments" (Daniel 9:4).
King David also expressed his confidence in knowing God and His faithfulness, declaring, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life" (Psalms 23:6).
What a loving, faithful, and mindful God we serve! Let us respond to His love by giving our whole being in love for Him. Our love for God should be evident in how we love one another. As Jesus said, "By this, all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." Our lives should serve as a living testimony to the transformative power of God's love, as we extend grace, mercy, and kindness to those around us.
